Ryan Campbell’s Re-election Announcement

March 9, 2026

Ryan Campbell’s re-election announcement transcript:

Hello again my friends, It’s Ryan Campbell, your District 2 Supervisor. It is my job to elevate the voices of the citizens that I represent in local government. Is my job to be the voice of reason on the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors. It is my job to advocate and fight for the resources that we need here.

You know, when I think about the work that I’ve done over the past seven and a half years, the work that we’ve done together, I look at so much positive change that happened in Tuolumne County, in general, in district two, specifically, in just a very short period of time.

Tuolumne County Sheriff

I look at the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, where we have more deputies on the street. We have a brand new 911, dispatch facility, and we have resurrected the Tuolumne County narcotics Task Force, which just in the past two years, has had a significant impact in reducing the amount of fentanyl and other illicit drugs coming into our community. I’m so proud of the work that they’ve done, and I’ve been very grateful to be a part of it and to have your support.

Tuolumne County Fire

I also look at fire protection now. I’ve made it very clear numerous times over the past several years that I see fire and its impact on Tuolumne County as the greatest single threat that we face as a community. That’s why it is important that we invest in fire protection, and we make sure that it is priority for our communities to support fire engines and fuels reduction. When I started on board of supervisors, we had two staff fire engines for all of Tuolumne County Fire Department. Now we have five staff fire engines, and that increase has also benefited our district. One of those five engines is stationed in Mona Vista, and it serves Crystal Falls, Cedar Ridge, Willow Springs, Soulsbyville; almost all of District Two is served by that one fire engine. So it’s a huge improvement, and I absolutely support maintaining that, and that is going to be a cornerstone of what I’ll be doing over the next year.

District 2 County Roads

I also am very well known for getting road fixed. So if you look at Crystal falls drive, if you look at Kewin Mill Road, if you look at Standard Road, Willow Springs drive. So many different roads in our district, so much infrastructure spending has happened right here in Tuolumne County, in District 2, that it has actually increased the overall rating of our roads just because of the work that has happened in our own backyard. And I’m very proud of that.

District 2 Youth Sports & Education

And if you know me, you know that I am known as a very big supporter of our libraries and parks, and that is simply because we need to be putting something aside for the next generation. We need to support our parks. We need to support our libraries, because educational opportunities, safe places for our kids to go, and the ability to participate in these sporting events are so important to making sure that we are training up the next generation of good citizens who are going to take over for us after we’re gone. And I’m a very big supporter of those things, and I can say that they are both healthy departments under my leadership.

Now I could rattle off all of the different things that I have worked on and had the support of the community I’m working on, and things that I am proud of. I can do that all day long, but what I will say is that I am I’ve never been more optimistic for the future of our community, and that is why, after talking with my family, with my friends and talking with many of you in the community, I have decided to run for another term as your supervisor on the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors for District 2.

I’m so proud of the support I’ve received from this community, and I want to make sure that I’m here to see projects that are nearly complete, but not entirely complete come to fruition, things like the grants that we have applied to for repairing Big Hill Road projects to improve and resurface Longeway Road. Other things like making sure that we have adequate funding for our fire stations, I think that is something that has become a hot button issue. It is under threat right now, and I’ve made it very clear where I stand on it. I stand with Tuolumne County Fire Department, and so I am very grateful it’s been one of the privileges of my life to be your representative on the board of supervisors.
